Maitland Small Business Award Finalist 1997 Quality Assurance HHW is committed to providing practical and workable solutions to facilitate the return to economic occupation of injured people and to sustain them safely at work, or productively and independently at home with dignity to the household group. Prompt referral is encouraged by either employer, insurer, treating doctor, worker or legal representative. We place a strong emphasis on continual liaison and consultation with all relevant parties in the assessment or rehabilitation process. Services are undertaken at the home or workplace - wherever the activity is most relevant. Fairness to clients is demonstrated with objectivity in assessments of both the injured worker and working circumstances. Recommendations and opinions are developed with respect to evidenced based medicine. Consultants maintain and develop their standard by continuing education, participation in accreditation processes and by ongoing professional networking. Reporting Standards and Mechanisms Services and reports are provided according to the timeframe discussed with the referrer. Reports are distributed on a "need to know" basis. Reports are the property of the party who pays for the report. Treating doctors will be kept informed for the purpose of best practice management.
